Blizzard Warns Public - {mAc}Chaos @ 18:29:41 EDT

Today Blizzard announced a warning on their Battle.net page regarding other people attempting to steal players accounts. Heres what they had to say.

Some people on Battle.net have been attempting to steal accounts by getting unsuspecting users to reveal their passwords. You should NEVER reveal your password to ANYONE. Your account password is ONLY used to log-on to Battle.net. It is not used for Battle.net commands or any other purpose. There are no hidden ladder rankings in Diablo II as only the top 50 players on the Normal and Hardcore ladders are ranked. You cannot gain any additional information by using a /w (whisper), /m (message) or /dnd (do not disturb) command in any way. Also, Blizzard Representatives can easily be identified as they appear in the Diablo II chat room as a man in Platemail Armor with a Blue Cape (see image). Again, we will never ask you for your CD KEY or your Account Password.Must be pretty bad for Blizzard to release a official warning of it.

Bill Roper Interview - {mAc}Chaos @ 17:28:04 EDT

A new interview with Bill Roper, senior producer at Blizzard, has been posted on Passagen, a swedish website. The interview is, of course, in swedish and unfortunately, I couldn't find any site that translate from swedish to english. So if you speak swedish go give it a read, and if you have time to send us a translation of th interview, we would appreciate it.

Zileas Interiew - {mAc}Chaos @ 1:37:25 EDT

Warcraft 3 Conversion Update - {mAc}Chaos @ 6:33:59 EDT

With Diablo II news dying down, it's again time to focus upon Infoceptor's grand project, the Warcraft 3 Conversion. While there admittedly was little updates on the conversion's project in the past, rest assured that everything is flowing along smoothly, courtesy of our technical mastermind Igor "Shadow" Chulkov.
The most significant update we bring you is the full conversion of each and every wireframe, from grouped to units, to buildings to transports, everything is now converted and existing ones enhanced! Credits all go to Shadow. Their presence enhances the overall feel of the game, taking to project another step forward towards completion. Other additions include:

* All Icons and command now Converted
* More Structures Converted, Including the Cantrip Beacon, Chaos Portal, Chaos Beacon, Orc Runes
* Enhanced Dark Portal and Heroes
* All ugrades and Technologies Renamed and Converted

All major changes, the Warcraft 3 Conversion is finally shaping up towards a full release. What's more, Le Duc Trung has helped create quite an attractive beta version of the Horde Interface, now fully functional as shown in the screenshot, again adding to the whole atmosphere of the game. We've includes great new screenshots in our archive, so be sure to check it out below:

Havas Designing for XBox? - {mAc}Chaos @ 13:13:18 EDT

Today in my inbox I got a interesting E-Mail that confirmed Havas Interactive is on the list of developers for the XBox. For those of you who do not know who Havas Interactive is, they are the owners of Blizzard and Sierra Studios. With this news it seems likely that future games released by both companies will end up on XBox format.

New Story - {mAc}Chaos @ 5:15:37 EDT

Cloudmage1 has submitted the second chapter of his excellent online novel set prior to Warcraft 3. In the second chapter of 'Definitions of Honor', Gar'dak continues his quest to parley with the fearsome minataurs. Undermined once already, what was once a casual negotiation had turned into a test of pride. Write in careful detail, this is a great read for any Warcraft fan:

* Definations of Honor Chapter 2

Other excellent fan fiction can be found in our Stories Archive.

Diablo II Reviews - Deathwing @ 3:43:44 EDT

Even months after it's initial release, Diablo II continues to be reviewed by various sites that have probably been living in a cave. A round of reviews that have surface din the past few days include:

* Zuga Buga 9.5/10
* Game Critics 8.5/10
* Game Reviewers 8.5/10

While response is generally positive, the some criticism of Battle.net Realms continue to arise. Credits goes to Mohoman, Rickel and Terror Nova for pointing these out to me.

New and Hot Customs Coming Soon! - Rave-Crawler @ 22:46:59 EDT

Hello I am Rave-Crawler, some of you may know me as Tech-Raver from previous posts made by Deathwing. Anyways I have planned a few new excellent customs for you fans out there. They will have to be kept secret for now, though.
The point of my post is to seek an answer for my Character Conversions Mod. I am rearranging the weapons made specifically for the new character classes and I need help on what type of weapons should the replacements be:

* The Nomad will change the existing line of swords to fit his weapon type, the curved fast attacking blades of the wastelands.(already decided.

* The Holy Protector will have crosses instead of scepters.(already decided)

* The Battle Mage is one of the classes undecided, the current weapons brainstorm are: Battle Staves(replacing the currently weak staves to brutal ones), or the Mage Axes(changing the staves to axes that are specifically made for the Battle Mage).

* The Curse Warrior weapons brainstorm are: Blackblades(swords that are imbued by the Priests of Rathma), or Bone Scythes.

So post your thoughts and help the best customs be the best!
