An empire that stretches from the vast deserts of Lilat to the darkest breaches of the Asteroid fields, the Infoceptor Empire has been the greatest power in the sector for as long as anyone can remember. Its military is top notch, and its numbers bolster it. A strict chain of command also keeps the citizens in line and ensures peace for all Infoceptor civilians. However, all is not well in the galaxy. Some say the Emperor or his close advisors are corrupt, and that the once mighty Infoceptor is but a shadow of the good it once was. While these are only rumors, anyone to have seen the Emperor has not seen the light of day long enough to pass the tale on. Currently they are engaged in war against the CuC Federation, which has long opposed Infoceptor's reign of power, and the SCL Directorate, the arch nemesis of the huge Empire.
The Campaign Creations Federation was once just that, a small trading fleet that also specialized in drawing up plans for military campaigns that were deemed necessary during times of war. Since those humble beginnings their president and loved leader Desler has lead the Federation into unrivaled wealth. And with wealth, comes power. Although the Federation does not directly support a military, it has a considerable number of mercenaries (That passed legal checks) and a small standing militia that tends to any sort of unlawful activity. Through a chain of events and bad luck, the Federation ended up opposing the Infoceptor Empire, and a great war ensued, one that is still going on, with no end in sight.
Another trader faction that has arisen during these times of peril, the Custom Creations Federation specialized in creating custom fit ships and models of various vehicles to the buyer. A reputable manufacturer (and arguably the biggest) of ships, the Federation has also made bid for galaxy wide recognition, with the constructions of the biggest ships ever built. One of these ships, the Black Magic, is to incorporate never before seen weapon systems and computer data. This ship should prove invaluable, and it has been nearly completed, save for a special gem required to power it. Apart from that is another ship that is built to accompany or latch into the Black Magic, the Supremacy Duece, which is the second prototype for its ship type. It should also be known that it is currently the main producer of the Infoceptor Empire's warships, and any faction that gains the favor of this corporation is very lucky indeed.
The SC Legacy Directorate
A once great rival to the Campaign Creations Federation, and the creator of the biggest and most renowned military ship, the Antioch, this faction has prided itself on the phrase "The few and the proud." Unfortunately this faction has seen better times, and is now on the decline. Ever since the death of their leader, Auspex Termalis, a very dedicated Protoss Judicator, the ship and it's achievements were slowly held together by his second in command, Zeus Legion, a zealot of great determination. Even through is assistance the faction could not achieve it's once great glory, and now they live in dormancy, not exactly sure what to do with their great ship, not sure what their purpose is. Many have left for other worlds, but the planet they rest on still thrives, albiet not as much as it once did.
