I'm headed to India soon - so unless I hear anything interesting when I'm there, this is the end of updates for now. Have a HAPPY NEW YEAR - a NEW MILLINEUM in fact.

Send her mail and let her know she is not alone :) . Uncle called after eons and said he is now working in Newark, Delaware. No contact info apart from his Cap Gemini address. Uncle, if you read this, let me know what your correct eamil address and phone numbers are. Roja has a baby girl (news via 2nd hand).

--------------------------------------------------------------------- WOW!!! Its been a long time since I updated this page. Does that mean people have not been living interesting lives - nope definitely NOT. Lots of things have been happening but I didn't get an opportunity to update this page. Firstly new arrivals (or returnees) in the US. Bala is back in USA, in Michigan with wife Madhavi. The email address in my list (on previous page) still works for him. Murlidhar was here in Connecticut. He will be back in USA after he takes care of some business. Venu and Murlidhar got together couple of times. Speaking about Venu, here he is posing in front of his "darling" :).

Nagaraj is visiting India. Narendra and his wife Poornima are taking off to snowy Alaska for the July 4th weekend. Nagesh got engaged to Durgesh Nandini. Here are two snaps he sent me.

Paluri is in Madras undergoing SAP training. In his own words "At present I am on deputation for about 1year for implementation of SAP at CFL.. We are undergoing a training at chennai at our head office. ". Check out his two email id and definitely send him mail. Vijay is back in the Philadelphia area. I havn't heard form him though. Mamta called but didn't leave a phone number. Mammy dear - if you want me to call you back, I NEED a phone number :)). Rekha is somewhere in Canada. Rekha if you read this, PLEASE send me your new email address. And finally, ME!!! I've become a movie maniac - I've already seen Star Wars - The Phantom Menace, Notting Hill, Austin Powers - The Spy Who Shagged Me and Tarzan. Howzzat???.. Till we meet again.....

--------------------------------------------------------------------- News from Gujarat....Sudhakar writes some interesting information from his life in 1998. He has been a happily married man for almost 9 months now. In his own words:

Things have proceeded at a very rapid pace for me from March to May 7th (of 1998 - BP). By March 20th I was still a man free from any plans of marriage and suddenly on May 7th I was tying the nuptial knot.
Her name is Lalitha and Sudhakar knew for a while before their marriage. She did her M.Lib from Bombay Univ.
He wishes everyone here in USA a Very Happy New Year.
We wish him all the best!!. I have his home phone number in case anybody wants to call.

--------------------------------------------------------------------- Help me!! Its pouring!!! No sooner than I posted yesterday's update, did I get a flood of mail from different people. Venu Madhav is here in USA, in good old New Jersey (Parsippany to be precise). He is still at I2 and is working on the same project. Rekha says she is headed to Toronto on Feb. 12 this year to joining her husband who got a project there. Nagesh says still no word from Bala. For some weird reason, Bala has not been communicating. He is here in USA though. Bala if you ever read this, *please* stay in touch. Nagi Reddy got a job in TCS and the way things go, moving from Bangalore to USA shouldn't take very long. Uncle (Vijay) may be headed to India in Feb. 99.

--------------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to the new year and a new beginning. As the years go on, I get less and less news about janta. But once a while someone bothers to update me on what's happening with them. I heard through 2nd and 3rd hand resources that Shankar visited India (Vizag too) during Nov.-Dec. of 1998. I visited Vani during '98 Thanksgiving weekend and saw her new house. She cooked a huge feast for me. THANK YOU!!! Vani and Greg have big plans for their house. Wish them all the very best. Nagesh changed jobs in Dec. '98 and is even more busy. Narendra and Poornima are headed to India in Feb. '99. They plan to visit Madras (Chennai for die-hards) and Rajahmundry (Rajai for the fashion consious spelling????). Paluri sent me a picture of him and his bride, Swati, boating on the Kodaikanal Lake. Here goes:
