Hi!!! Welcome to my little corner of the world. In here you will find things that interest me and maybe you too. I maintain this website as a hobby and also as a way to stay in touch with my "internet skills" that look great on a resume ;-) .  Its also dedicated to my family, friends, and HOME - India. Have fun...........

Meanwhile a little about me...myself..I'm Indian; lived here in USA for quite a bit now. But, once an Indian - always an Indian. Is that the curry syndrome?   ;-> .  You do know there is no such thing as a curry in India, right? I spent a happy childhood including school and an undergraduate (EE) education in India. Then distant shores beckoned and I came to Philadelphia to do a Master's (and a PhD someday, my dad hoped) at Villanova University. I was 21 when I arrived here - no money - no clue - and excited. I finished my Master's coursework and refused to even to think about a PhD. I bummed around for a while including a long vacation in India. Found a job in my own time and am continuing in the typical X+1 syndrome path that most Indians who come here for graduate school follow.

I've changed a few jobs since the first one. I now work for the Linguistics and Natural Languages Department of UNISYS.  We do pretty interesting work with speech recognizers and natural language - check out our product page as well as the SpeechDepotportal supported by Unisys and Microsoft.

My other interests can be summed up in one word - BOOKS. I like to read about travelling especially. Follow this link for my list of armchair travelogues. They are mostly about India. Some of them are extremely informative about well travelled areas in North India. There are some South Indian travel writings too.

I have a resume here that is quite upto date now. Meet my family, friends and home in the family section. I have a collection of images and writings about classmates from my undergraduate college (Andhra University in India). Its not that they are any more important than all the other friends I've made in the (many :-) ) years since graduation (,or any less); its just that I find it interesting to see  how the lives of a group of individuals I've been associated with, since I was seventeen, have been shaping up. Its kind of cool to see all the milestones - graduations, weddings, babies, new homes, etc. Another page is dedicated to Vizag - my home town on the eastern sea coast of India. Its the only place I consider HOME and at odd moments I can feel the salty tang of the sea breeze in my mouth (and head). That's when I know I'm really homesick.

I also have a few miscellaneous links to news sites, South Asian charities, etc.

My email address is at the bottom, drop a line about anything under the sun...thanks for visiting...BYE!
