A Philadelphia Neighbourhood - Manyunk
Philadelphia is a city of neighbourhoods. One of its most "happening" ones is called Manyunk...a crowded, hilly tract of land teeming with dance clubs, antique stores, bike enthusiasts, a great farmers market with exotic cuisine, and last but not the least - the Manyunk Canal and a bike trail that goes 20 miles and ends up in the historic Valley Forge National Park. Its the hangout for a lot of yuppies and even the waiters seem to dance around while serving food, most probably because many of them are training in dance and music and art.
I am ashamed to say that even after living in Philly for 6 years I had not
visited this place. That changed a few weeks ago when my friend and classmate
from kindergarten said he'd be my guide to the area because he was leaving Philly for good to move to San Fransisco and wanted to have a last look at the place himself. Here are a few pictures from that trip:

The entire neighbourhood is situated on a series of little hills and the roads slope down rather steeply in several places.

Do you want to see the gun fire?

This old car was on the way to the bike trail alongside the Manyunk Canal

Vijay was rather sceptical of my picture taking - I think this one looks good, right?
